Remi Maritime Corp., has been established since the 1960s. The company based in Piraeus represents a large group of shipping interests. There are two other offices representing the group, one in London, Seacrest Shipping Co Ltd, and the other in New York, Belmar Agencies, representing the groups' interests in the U.S.A. The group's management has been actively involved in the activities of Lloyds of London Insurance Market and the Baltic Exchange and in various capacities and Directorships. The management has further been involved on the board or as chairman of many major International Associations such as INTERCARGO, ICS, UGS, GSCC, American Bureau Shipping, Det Norske Veritas, Bureau Veritas, Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers, North of England P&l, The Hellenic War Risk Association and others. The Managing Director of the company is currently chairman of ICS and ISF for his third term.

Furthermore, Remi Maritime has been certified under the IMO regulations for ISM (International Safety Management), while Seacrest has also achieved the ISO 9002 certification since 1997. The experience and expertise gained throughout these activities have been extremely valuable.

The group has been registered with the U.S. Coast Guard for oil pollution preparedness under the OPA '90 regulations and other local U.S. regulations apart from the overall International regulations required fortrading the vessels they represent.
